Los Angeles Federal Building

Objective

The U.S. Federal Building in Downtown Los Angeles needed to upgrade its physical security solution. VectorUSA performed as the subcontractor on the project to design and install a network Intelligent Surveillance system in the Los Angeles Federal Building in Downtown Los Angeles.

Solution

VectorUSA engineers installed 3 four-post rack enclosures to house the new video equipment, patch panels Cisco 24 Port 3750 PoE switches, and 5TB Vicon server. VectorUSA installed three
Cisco C3750 series PoE switches in each of the IDF’s and MDF to accommodate the new video cameras. VectorUSA engineers installed 26 Vicon cameras throughout the building according to the blueprint diagrams. Each camera was sighted and adjusted for maximum efficiency. ViconNet Workstation open architecture VMS was chosen as a feature-rich solution that is both adaptable and expandable.

At the completion of the project, VectorUSA provided training, management and trouble-shooting training of the complete solution. VectorUSA followed strict protocols relating to the sensitive environment.
