With nearly 500 students in K-8 grade, SOAR Charter Academy needed to upgrade its antiquated bell and paging system. The school, established in 2008, wanted additional features and a scalable system. The school also lacked a means for communication, emergency lockdown and local police department response in the event of an emergency.
Before VectorUSA, the school had clocks, bells and a PA system. Though standard for many schools, to take it to a new level of security, SOAR Charter Academy needed both emergency communication and police department monitoring.
To provide the utmost safety for SOAR Charter Academy’s students and staff, VectorUSA proposed a new system with communication, emergency lockdown and local police department response in the event of an emergency, as well as clocks, bells and a PA.
After VectorUSA completed the installation, Kristin Kraus, SOAR Charter Academy’s Director of Finance and Operations, commended VectorUSA’s work: “VectorUSA has been professional and easy to work with for the entirety of our project. This applies from sales all the way to the installers,” she said. “We are exceptionally happy with our product and feel VectorUSA has provided our school with an extra level of safety and security in a time of unease in schools.”
With this new communication system, SOAR Charter Academy can continue to focus on its mission: producing leaders who not only excel beyond the state’s academic standards but also become well-rounded, creative, life-long learners who will be prepared to make a difference in the 21st century.
