Encinitas Union School District needed to update its Wireless LAN and entire communication network to meet and exceed One-to-One Digital Learning and other goals set by the District and Board of Education. The District, with a history of outstanding achievement, serves the community of Encinitas and Carlsbad in northern San Diego County. Approximately 5,400 kindergarten through sixth grade students attend nine schools and are supported from one district office.
VectorUSA designed a complete overhaul of the District’s Wireless LAN and communication network. VectorUSA engineers installed, upgraded and configured a new Wireless LAN system, Cisco VoIP, switches and routers, firewall, IP paging network and CAT6 cabling at all nine elementary schools and the District office. The system currently supports more than 5,000 computing devices in the classrooms, labs, libraries, and administrative offices. Along with computers, the VectorUSA solution supports 325 networked printers, projectors, document cameras, tablets, and other digital devices. As a result, the District met and exceeded its One-to-One Learning and other digital learning goals. VectorUSA continues to support the District with remote and on-site Helpdesk support and network maintenance.
VectorUSA was the Prime Contractor on this project. We designed, managed, implemented and executed the full delivery of all products and services. At the completion of the project, VectorUSA provided training, management and trouble-shoot training of the complete solution. VectorUSA followed strict protocols relating to the sensitive environment.
